What’s up? I’m Kayla!

I’m passionate about using visual storytelling to create meaningful, eye-catching designs. By day, I work as the Assistant Director of Operations for E-Learning, Technology and Communications at the University of Florida College of Education. Outside of that role, freelance design gives me space to stay creatively energized—and recently, I’ve fallen in love with stained glass, channeling that passion into pieces I now sell as a local Gainesville artist.

Here are a few things about me:

• I’m a proud Double Gator (B.S. in Advertising, 2011; M.S. in Management, 2021)
• My husband and I co-own Earth Pets Natural Pet Market
• I’m a mom to two amazing kids, Elliot and Matilda (Tilly)
• In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, illustration, fiber arts, and lifting heavy things for fun
• I’ve recently gotten into foraging and amateur mycology—I’ve even found wild black trumpet, chanterelle, and honey mushrooms!

Gainesville’s creative community has my heart, and I’m proud to be part of it.
